The Chime “Green Room”

CHIME HEADQUARTERS, SF

A cozy, creative brand education space designed with IKEA budgets and startup smarts.

Create a physical space within Chime’s HQ that brought their Everyday American customer to life—not through luxury, but through intention, approachability, and detail. The room needed to support executive and brand team use, act as a casual meeting zone, and make agency partners feel immersed in the brand without breaking the bank.

It was initially scoped as a temporary install—just 12 weeks—but the team loved it so much, it stayed far longer.

We translated Chime’s digital-first brand values into a lived-in, warm, and useful room designed for everyday inspiration.

Part living room, part gallery wall, part “let’s run this thinking by the team real quick”—the space was meant to feel like your first apartment after college: functional, affordable, and full of personality.

We sourced exclusively from accessible retailers (IKEA, Amazon, Target), painted over 48 cabinet legs in Chime’s pure brand green (Benjamin Moore Fresh Scent Green), and built a relaxed gallery wall that doubled as an educational moment with QR-coded brand materials and customer research.

What we did:

  • Lounge room interior design and spatial layout

  • Furniture sourcing, install, and styling

  • Gallery wall concept and QR-linked brand education system

  • Employee-facing poster designs

  • Paint palette curation and brand color integration

  • Installation guidance for easy teardown with minimal wall damage

“We were channeling the design vibe and budget of an everyday American with a love of IKEA.”

OUR INSPIRATION

“The space completely changed how our team connected with the brand. It helped our client partners and internal teams think more clearly about who we serve and why. Everyone wanted to meet and chat in the ‘green room.’”
