The Long Island Loft
THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONG ISLAND
A historic meeting space gets a bright, functional makeover. The Junior League of Long Island approached us to reimagine their historic loft meeting space—part headquarters, part gathering place, and part event venue. The goal? To bring functionality, warmth, and modern polish to a beloved space with a long legacy.
With a limited budget and decades of archival materials at our fingertips, we rethought how the space could feel, flow, and reflect the League’s enduring legacy of leadership and service.

What we did:
Repainted main loft in Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace to maximize light bounce
Refocused existing track lighting to highlight key areas and wall displays
Designed a custom gallery wall celebrating 80+ years of League history
Created functional breakout zones for meetings and gatherings
Refreshed the Board Room, Powder Room, and Admin Offices
Reorganized storage to optimize space for materials and equipment
Brought in new textiles, plants, and furniture accents to soften the industrial layout
“This was all about coastal cleanliness—with a hint of country.”

OUR INSPIRATION
“The transformation turned a once-overlooked space into a working hub for connection and inspiration. The gallery wall—built from our original publications, photos, and artifacts—became a signature moment of pride for our members.”
